VIS690 Bridge

Bridge fixturing for wire-cut machines and large workpieces, built from a modular die-frame series and fixed to an extended work stand. A flat-plane workpiece can be secured with a single set of two pieces. The L dimension is set by the centre distance of your machine table — tell us that distance and we supply the bridge to match.

VIS675 Press Plate 70×23×30 / 70×23×12

Used together with super-hard tooling to press the workpiece so that it cannot move during the cut. Two plate thicknesses are available so the press plate can be matched to the height of the workpiece and the fixture stack.

Sizes 70×23×30 mm and 70×23×12 mm.
Materials 420 and 384.
Positive hold-down that prevents workpiece movement for the whole cut.

A wire-cut EDM work platform with stainless steel and angle-vise options, in hardness HRC 25–245. It forms an integral part of the cutting machine as the fixture support, so its flatness directly determines cut accuracy.

What the numbers mean on the shop floor

Flatness and squareness are not decoration. On a wire-cut machine the workpiece floats on a thin table while the wire cuts for hours — any error in the fixture transfers straight into the finished part.

Flatness 0.005 mm / 100 mm keeps the workpiece seated without rocking.
Squareness 0.005 mm / 100 mm keeps a right-angle cut genuinely square.
HRC 50–55 maraging steel resists the wear of repeated clamping cycles.
0.2 mm wire-guide leeway after adjustment prevents guide interference.
